UCL Leaders: Poland in a Global World Conference

UCL Leaders is an annual student conference which takes place in the heart of London.

The event aims to promote Poland as a valuable actor on the international art, economics, technology and politics scene. Our edition featured, among others, speakers such as Robert Biedroń (politician) and Robert Pągowski (world-renowned graphic designer and creator of the Comme de Garcons logo.)

Along with a second designer, we created the Design & Social Media Team.

Our task was to create a visual identity of the conference based on a color palette and main visual theme of the conference; with attracting new attendees via engaging and creative social media posts; and with designing merch items.

We started out by experimenting with textures and a high-quality camera. We strived to capture the diversity of the conference speakers' expertise and background, as well as a sense of dynamism and excitement. We later felt inspired by more spatial experiments with origami forms and cube shapes (this is where our architectural background came to light...)

We played around with these and in the end, came up with a spiral shape. It aimed to represent the conference's 5 main themes: Politics, Art, Economics and Sustainability, coming together in an interdisciplinary way.

I have created multiple illustrations capturing the spirit of interdisciplinary cooperation in the Polish context. These were used for social media posts and merch items.
